K & K Windows was established in 1995, and has grown steadily but rapidly to become one of Ireland’s leading fabricators and installers of uPVC and aluminium products in both the residential and commercial fields. All the windows are fabricated at their modern factory at Craanford, on the outskirts of Gorey in County Wexford. K & K take a pride in sourcing their materials from Ireland wherever possible, and from Europe should they have to look further afield. Their own teams see every project through from start to finish, from Computer Aided Design to fabrication and then installation. With heat and noise insulation now growing in importance as a result of climate change, K & K Windows is staying at the leading edge of this vital technology, with Vistatherm Elite proving increasingly popular in its double and triple glazed units.
In 2018, the achievements of the company were recognised at the annual All-Ireland Business Summit at Croke Park, where it won the coveted “All-Star Brand-Windows” and “All-Star Entrepreneurial Couple” Awards. This followed four rounds of intense competition, and the work involved in reaching this goal led in part to the realisation that K & K Windows would, and should, benefit from outside assistance in extending its market through eCommerce.
K & K Windows wanted Emarkable to focus on lead generation. The website needed to be updated, to become more user-friendly. The company needed to improve its own in-house training, and to develop a clear and focused digital strategy.
In accordance with its well-proven approach, Emarkable worked with K&K windows to develop a comprehensive strategy for transformation, including an audit of social media platforms and the creation of a 12 month Search Engine Optimisation plan. Twelve-month plans for Pay per Click and content strategy were also implemented. For the website, an audit of user experience resulted in optimisation for page speed and the development of new features.
COVID-19 Online Retail Scheme
Emarkable negotiated financial support from this DETE scheme, which was designed to help Irish retailers increase their customer base and build a more resilient business, both online and offline. The results were overwhelmingly positive, in terms both of sales and customer relations.
Lead generation demonstrated a very positive realignment, with a better focus on the more promising types of clients.
There was a noticeable improvement in customer relationships and brand recognition, with more visibility on Google and Social Media. There was also a marked increase in the number of unique visitors as well as returning visitors, and a promising drop in the bounce rate. The conversion rate was also improving.
With its own expertise and determination, partnered with Emarkable’s experience in the field of eCommerce, K & K Windows is now in a strong position to take advantage of the opportunities offered by social media and other sales platforms. The company can be confident that it will hold and improve its position in this competitive market.
